The next Full Moon will be exact on March 9th at 1:47 PM (ET), and will take place at 19 degrees of Virgo.
In my experience, a Virgo Moon tends to bring out the practical and analytical sides of us. The details of a situation can become much clearer under this Moon’s light, and that may empower us to take discerning action. Some things to look out for include self-criticism and unwanted advice. So, goes easy on yourself and others!
Since Mercury is the ruler of Virgo, it also rules over this Full Moon, highlighting things like communication and thought processes. If there’s a project that’s in need of organization, editing, or altogether reassessing, now may be the perfect time to get to it! Anything dealing with paperwork and precise details – hello, tax season – may get a boost from this Moon’s energy as well.
The Moon will transit Virgo from the early morning hours of March 8th until the early morning hours of March 10th (eastern time.)
Now, onto your Full Moon Tarotscopes!
For those of you unfamiliar, Tarotscopes are essentially the same thing as a horoscope, except with Tarot cards. It is important to note, however, that I am not taking any specific planetary transits or aspects into consideration – apart from what sign the Moon is currently in, of course. For the most part, though, the messages you find below are based on what comes through from the card I pull for each sign.
Though my Tarotscopes are written with your Moon sign in mind, you should also feel free to read the messages that come through for your Sun and Rising signs. The same could be said for your Mercury placement, or even your Black Moon Lilith if you’re feeling so inclined! As always, my philosophy is to take what works and leave the rest.
Not sure what your Moon sign is? Find it here: https://www.astrocal.co.uk/moon-sign-calculator/ (you won’t need your birth time, though that would make it much more accurate.)
Happy reading and Happy Full Moon!
Aries – Queen of wands
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: confidence. Do you know how fucking amazing you are? I mean, sorry to get so intense, but it’s true! You have an energy and a passion that lights you up from the inside out, and brings those lucky enough to be in your circle so much joy. The Queen of Wands is here to make sure you know that and own it. No need to be cocky or arrogant about it, but you are absolutely allowed to have a deep sense of trust in yourself and your many talents. If you’re struggling to tap into this space of empowerment, take some time to reflect on your accomplishments at this Full Moon. Remember all that you’ve been capable of and then channel that into trying something new. There’s nothing quite like the boost of confidence that comes from stepping outside of your comfort zone just to prove you can.
Taurus – eight of pentacles
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: dedication. If there’s any question in your mind about a current (or possible) situation working out, this could be your sign that it absolutely will. IF and ONLY if you’re willing to put in the work, though. And to be perfectly honest, this situation may require quite a lot of persistence and determination. You may be asked to go through the same steps or repeat a similar cycle, over and over until you learn the full lesson of what’s being offered. That may sound tedious, but it’s through this repetition that you hone the skills necessary to be successful in your given circumstance. Now, all that said, if this is something you’re not truly passionate about, allow yourself the space to rethink it. What you put into this will be equal to what you get out, so make sure this endeavour is where you want your precious energy going.
Gemini – eight of cups
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: trust. This Eight is a tricky one. It has this beautiful invitation to move towards something fresh and new, but it comes at the price of leaving something (perhaps equally beautiful) behind. Something you probably put a lot of you heart and Soul into. From an outsider’s perspective, this invitation may seem foolish. Like, how the hell could you walk away from something so amazing?! The thing is, the person walking through this card’s energy usually has this deep-in-their-bones knowing, an undeniable sense that, no matter how counterintuitive it may seem, moving on is the absolute right thing to do. Trust your intuition on this one. Things may seem bittersweet right now, but why wait until the situation goes sour? Invest in yourself and take the leap that your Spirit is calling for.
Cancer – The High priestess
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: awareness. The High Priestess is our invitation to get quiet and go within. To pay close attention to our intuition and do our best to follow its lead. It tells us that we hold the key to whatever mysteries are surrounding us at this time; that we already know the answers we seek. Which is pretty cool and empowering, except, what if you’re unsure of how to tap into that intuitive space? Or, what if you’re having trouble distinguishing between the voice of intuition and that of the brain? Though your Cancer Moon may give you an edge in the world of intuition, there are always times when the wires get crossed and we must work to untangle the voices so they can play on their own stations again. Use this Full Moon to get reacquainted with your intuition; pull some cards, meditate, try some free flow writing, draw or paint without a set plan. Even simpler, say out loud to yourself “My name is (your name)” and see how that feels. Then, say “My name is (not your name)” and see what the difference is. Bottom line: you’re being called to develop a deeper awareness with your inner voice.
Leo – eight of swords
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: limitless. Breaking through the barriers and limitations we face in this life isn’t always possible. We live in a world where certain privileges are not afforded to certain people, making certain obstacles almost impossible to overcome. But when the Eight of Swords shows up, we’re asked to face the internally driven restrictions we place on ourselves. We’re asked to examine where they stem from and how we can begin freeing ourselves from them. At this Full Moon, take some time to reflect on the areas of life where you feel stuck. Ask yourself where that perception of rigidity comes from. Is there really no way forward? It’s okay to admit you might be fearful of what lies outside your safety zone. Acknowledging that fear and taking steps to alleviate it, may be just the ticket to getting out of your own damn way.
Virgo – four of swords
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: contemplation. Now is not the time to make any big decisions. Your mind is asking for space to reflect on the information it has. It needs time to sharpen and bring focus to all of the thoughts and ideas buzzing around up there. This brief step back will ensure that when the time to act does roll around, you’ll be fully prepared with all the necessary knowledge. Allow yourself some space to meditate during this Full Moon. You don’t have to do anything special; just sitting alone, quietly, and taking notice of the thoughts that come front and center, is more than enough. Just as our bodies need times of rest in order to recharge, our minds need space to relax in order to regain clarity.
Libra – the fool
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: leap. The unknown can conjure both fear and excitement. Not knowing what’s coming for us or how we’re going to navigate the path ahead can be really uncomfortable. Sometimes, we’re only able to see what’s right in front of us, and it requires a lot of courage to take that first step, trusting that another will appear when we do so. It’s much safer to stay where we are, surrounded by what we know. And though there are times to stay put and retread old ground, that’s not the case when The Fool shows up. This card is your sign to focus on the limitless potential of stepping into something new. It’s your invitation to embrace the invigorating energy of taking a leap without fully knowing where you might land. Every great journey starts with a single step.
Scorpio – Two of wands
Your key term for this Full Moon is: grounded expansion. Planning your next steps may be extra exciting under this detail-loving Virgo Full Moon. There’s an energy at play that may help you to get focused on creating To Do lists, mapping out a precise path, and setting practical goals. Try to strike a balance between short term and long term plans, though. Don’t get too lost in the small specifics of HOW that you can’t remember the larger WHY of it all. Start by dreaming big. Let your imagination run wild with no limitations on what’s possible, and then begin the process of breaking that bigger picture down into its smaller pieces. This is your chance to marry dreams with reality, by determining how to best root your Spirit’s vision into something tangible and functional.
Sagittarius – three of pentacles
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: collaboration. There are times for solo work, but this isn’t one of those times. Consider any projects or situations you’ve been trying to face all on your own, and examine what might be at the root of feeling the need to carry that weight by yourself. Do you believe that no one would help if you asked? Are you stuck in a mentality that says, “only I can get this right”? Or, perhaps you haven’t even considered reaching out for assistance? The Three of Pentacles is calling you into a space of co-creation; inviting you to shift your thinking to see how teamwork can make the dream work. Don’t worry about being eclipsed by adding people to your process – they each have their own unique talent to bring to the table, just like you. With all of your specialties combined, you have the potential to create something that simply wouldn’t be possible when working alone.
Capricorn – six of pentacles
Your key term for this Full Moon is: energy exchange. Who and what are you giving your energy to, and why? Where does this energy flow from inside of you? Are you giving in a way that’s open and generous, or does it stem from a need to control your situation? Conversely, who or what do you allow to give energy to you, and why? Your answers to these questions won’t necessarily point to any “rights” or “wrongs.” They can, however, help you to examine whether or not your current energy exchange is in your highest and best. There is balance to be found in this cycle of giving and receiving, and this Full Moon may serve as a favourable time to get clarity on where you stand in all of that.
Aquarius – king of cups
Your keyword for this Full Moon is: echoes. If you read my Tarotscopes for the Pisces New Moon just a few weeks ago, you’ll know that this is a repeat card. It may serve you to go back and read the message that came through then, as it may still have some resonance at this lunation. It could be that you’re being asked to reflect on how the energy from the New Moon has manifested throughout this current cycle. Perhaps you set an intention around King of Cups energy and now would be a great time to reassess that intention, or perhaps even show gratitude for anything it may have assisted you with. Additionally – and perhaps for those of you who did not read the Pisces Tarotscopes – the message I’m getting from this repeat card is to pay attention to echoes from your past that may resurface during this Full Moon. They may be here to remind you of a particular lesson, or help you reflect on how much you’ve grown. Harness this King’s emotional stability; let the echoes wash over you but don’t let them drown you.
Pisces – six of cups
Your key term for this Full Moon is: safe space. You may notice this Full Moon brings a kind of reawakening to you, or to certain areas of your life that have been a little stagnant as of late. The frost has cleared and the ground is now fertile once more. At first blush this concept of rebirth sounds exciting, and it can be. However, it doesn’t come without vulnerability, which can also be an uncomfortable space to inhabit. As you find your way back to yourself, back to the parts of life that bring you joy and revitalize your Spirit, don’t be afraid to take it slow. Allow yourself to undergo this process of reopening in a safe space. A place that feels innately harmonious for you. This isn’t something that needs to be rushed, and when you’re ready to fully bloom and express yourself again, it will be all the more authentic for having done it at your own pace.
As always, I hope you found some resonance in these messages.
I’d love to hear from you, whether it’s about your Tarotscope or how you’re celebrating this lunation, so please feel free to reach out.
I’ll be back in about two weeks time with your Tarotscopes for the Aries New Moon, but until then…
“Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don’t plan it.
Don’t wait for it. Just let it happen.”
