The next New Moon will be exact on the 26th of December at 12:15 AM (ET), and will take place at 4 degrees of Capricorn.
This New Moon is also an annular Solar Eclipse – in which the Moon obscures all but the outer ring of the Sun. Though we won’t be able to view this particular Eclipse from here in North America, it still brings potent energies of change and transformation. The intention we channel into our New Moon wishes this month will be considerably amplified by the Magic inherent in an Eclipse.
I often see these events as the opening of a portal. For a short time, as the Moon passes between our Earth and the Sun, we step into darkness and allow our Soul to illuminate the path ahead. We surrender to this brief unknown, with the knowledge that what awaits us on the other side is a chance at greater alignment. What will be waiting for you as you cross this threshold?

Now, onto your New Moon & Eclipse Tarotscopes!
For those of you unfamiliar, Tarotscopes are essentially the same thing as a horoscope, except with Tarot cards. It is important to note, however, that I am not taking any specific planetary transits or aspects into consideration, all of the information is based on the card I pull for each sign.
l free to read for your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs….you could even read for your North Node, Mercury, or Venus placements if you like! As always, my philosophy is to take what works and leave the rest.
Happy reading, Happy New Moon, and Eclipse Blessings!
Aries – Three of Cups
Always such a lovely card to appear on a New (or Full) Moon! The Three of Cups symbolizes community, safe spaces, and ritual – it’s a delightful embodiment of Covens, Moon circles, and other groups we may find ourselves coming together with during times of celebration. This New Moon may find you in different company than others throughout the year, since it takes place so near to Christmas. So, perhaps this time around it’s less about gathering with your magical friends and more about bringing the magic to wherever you may find yourself. Allow yourself to fully participate in the ritual and celebration of this time of year. There’s an ephemeral nature to the Three of Cups, too. The good times it symbolizes are those that can’t quite be recreated; they belong to a certain time and space once they pass by. So, use this as your reminder to stay in the present moment and soak up every last minute of joy while it’s around. Give thanks to the abundance you’ve manifested and accumulated – whether tangible or not. Perhaps, though, there are some of you Aries’ out there who have been wanting to connect with like-minded folks. To be part of a community that accepts and raises its glass to everything that you are. If so, this is your gentle nudge to seek out that community during this New Moon. That may even look like reconnecting with those you’ve lost touch with.
Taurus – Four of Wands
For some of you, this message is rather simple. If you’ve been blessed with family and friends that make the holidays an enjoyable time of year, the Four of Wands invites you to enjoy the joy! Bask in the warmth of the holiday happiness glow. Forget about your worries, leave your troubles behind, and get swept up in its magic of the holidays. That said, I know there will be plenty of Taureans reading this who don’t find the holidays to be a particularly enjoyable time. First off, you are not alone in this! The stress of the holidays, the bevy of triggers it brings along with it, is not just aimed at you. In this case, the Four of Wands still invites you to find joy, but to do so on your own terms. If you have to go to certain events and get-togethers, is it possible to restrict your time spent there? To go in with a positive AF attitude for 30 minutes and then get the hell out so you can go do something that makes you smile for real? If you’re going to be on your own, this card could be an invitation to create some kind of structure around your holiday. To create opportunities within which to find joy. And joy means a lot of different things to different people, so find what works for you. Don’t do something simply because it looks joyful on the outside, do what makes you glow on the inside.
Gemini – King of Swords
There’s a truth that needs speaking, dear Gemini. A truth that may be a little prickly, a little difficult to share; one that you may prefer to leave unspoken. If you allow it to, the King of Swords can be your energetic guide through this time. You can channel their clarity of thought, the bravery they bring to these times of difficulty. This King is driven to share what’s on their mind. They know how important words are. How we must take responsibility for both what we say and for what we keep hidden. This King doesn’t speak about every truth that comes to mind, they are discerning. They know the difference between information that is vital and that which can be filed away for the time being. It may feel like an undertaking you aren’t prepared for, but this King’s appearance suggests otherwise. It may be helpful to remember that, when you do share your truth, there is a healing that accompanies that act. It may be that by simply getting these words and ideas out of your internal and into the external, you feel a weight lifted. The release has lightened you in a way that brings you closer to alignment. What’s more is that these words, these truths you allow into the world may actually help to heal others, too. In this particular situation, you have a certain vantage point that may help you to bring clarity, focus, and even closure to those around you. Speak up!
Cancer – The Fool
Every New Moon brings us the chance to start fresh in some way. To take a leap towards a new, exciting beginning that could completely change our lives. Basically: New Moon, New You! The Fool only serves to emphasize those energies. In fact, The Fool in concert with the New Moon feels energetically similar to the transformative qualities at the heart of every Eclipse. So, this is your chance to really go for it – with the “it” representing whatever’s been calling out to you lately. What have you been contemplating that feels both exciting and a little scary? The thing that really gets your heart racing with anticipation. Something you know will require much hard work and dedication, but that comes along with an inner knowing that the risks will be outnumbered by the rewards. This potential journey may be one that feels a little unclear. You may only be able to visualize that first step and have no clue where to go after that. Every great journey starts with but a single step, though. The Fool is your invitation to trust that first step. To go all-in on your Soul’s guidance. To have faith in the promise that a second step will materialize once you’ve taken that first, and then a third, a fourth, and so on. The great thing about The Fool – and the New Moon – is that it’s the very beginning of something, where there is room to make mistakes and try again. Practice makes perfect, and that includes following your inner wisdom. So, go ahead, take that first step and see where it leads.
Leo – King of Pentacles
Success looks different to everyone. It’s not always about monetary gain or how high you’ve climbed the corporate ladder. It’s not about titles or the number of Instagram followers you have. Those aspects can certainly play a part, but true success comes from doing the work that brings you alive. The work that gives you a sense of purpose and fulfillment. The work that brings you so much inner abundance you feel compelled to aid others in their search for the same. When I use the word ‘work’ I’m not necessarily referring to the thing you do for money, either. Your work could be the volunteering you do every weekend, the blog you run on the side, the family you’re raising, and so much more. The King of Pentacles invites you to consider what this work is for you. What gives you the feeling of being on top of your game? The thing that you would call yourself a total boss at, even without an official title? What brings you a complete sense of clarity when it comes to your vision of the future? Perhaps, before you read this Tarotscope, you were considering your next steps, or contemplating an opportunity that’s just been offered. This King is here to remind you to make sure whatever path you choose, it’s the one that feels right within your Soul. The one that feels in alignment with who you are now, not who you once were, or even who you think you ought to be. Don’t forget the authority you have over your life’s path – you do hold the official title of Boss in that realm, so use the power wisely!
Virgo – Ten of Pentacles
The holidays tend to make us think about our lineage – biological or otherwise, individually or collectively. As we gather with friends, family, or groups we belong to, with the magic of the new year portal just around the corner, we can find ourselves pondering all that we inherited from our ancestors, and what we’re on track to leave behind for those that come after us. This New Moon might be the perfect time to ask yourself, what do you want your legacy to be? I’m not talking about money or material goods – though there’s nothing wrong with leaving that behind – but rather the Soul work you’re doing (or want to be doing) in this lifetime, that has the potential to change the world for those who follow. The paths you choose, the goals you achieve, the cycles and patterns you break, all have an impact on future generations and, to some extent, contribute to the healing of those that came before. The Ten of Pentacles can sometimes be an invitation to find presence and gratitude for the hard work that’s made it possible for the coming together of friends and relatives; to be immersed in and enjoy the celebration while it lasts. And it’s advice that’s worth following. I think that presence of mind during those times, though, is what leads to the deeper considerations of legacy, and I think that’s not an unhealthy musing.
Libra – The World
As soon as I pulled The World for you, dear Libras, my mind was immediately drawn to the fast-approaching end of the year and the beginning of a brand new decade. The space and time during the last weeks of December always hold a threshold energy, but this year it feels understandably heightened. During this New Moon, you may find value in reflecting on the past ten years. You can ask yourself questions like: What have you accomplished? What have you learned? What didn’t work out so well? What helped to shape who you are today? What are you ready to bring closure to? What is not meant to pass through this coming threshold with you? What are you determined to make space for in the coming decade? This time of reflection will no doubt bring up a mix of emotions – nostalgia, regret, inspiration, longing – so go easy on yourself. Really hold space for whatever arises, don’t try to rush through it. In addition to taking time to reflect, this New Moon will be an excellent one for celebration. For honouring all that you have been through in the past 10 years. To say thank you to all the iterations and versions of you that have come and gone. To show gratitude for all that you have gained and to say a final goodbye to whatever you may have lost. A new cycle is about to begin, and often the best way to step into a new beginning is to first ensure you’ve said a proper goodbye to the current one.
Scorpio – Two of Wands
What’s next for you, Scorpio? The world is at your fingertips right now, it’s yours for the taking. This sentiment is both exciting and a little daunting all at once. It’s hard not to feel that rush of enthusiasm when you’re still in the beginning stages of a new journey, when anything feels possible because of your passion. At the same time, the idea of those endless possibilities can trigger a sense of panic – too much choice isn’t always a good thing. The invitation here is to narrow your focus. You don’t need to dismiss any dreams or ideas because they feel too big. The goal is to marry those desires with an action plan. What steps can you take to start moving towards those big ideas? How can you start grounding your dreams in reality? The figure in the card looks out at the world in front of them – that’s where the endless possibilities come into play – but they do so from a safe place. They hold their wand, grounding and steadying themselves in their passion. They know that taking action is what awaits them, but they understand that planning and foresight are required to ensure the correct actions are taken. This New Moon is a chance for you to get clear on where you want to go next. Get out your journal and make note of any and everything that comes to mind in terms of this journey. Make a list of goals and give yourself dates to accomplish them by. Put some strategy and structure into place for the next 3, 6, or even 12 months.
Sagittarius – The Star
A time of renewal, re-centering, and recalibration, The Star invites you to ask yourself: what does true healing look and feel like? Sometimes, it might be as simple as a bit of self-care or ME time – a bath, some meditation, or a nourishing meal may all suffice. Other times, though, these smaller acts of rejuvenation aren’t quite enough. We need something deeper, an extended period of focus on our overall health. Notice how the figure in the card pours water into both the ground and the pool of water, a symbol of finding balance between the physical body and the intuitive Soul; alignment between both aspects are essential to our greater being. Do you make efforts to replenish these areas of your life? If not, this is your call to get started. If so, this is your call to double-down. The Star is not something to rush through, the healing it ushers in takes times. However, the attention and care you give yourself during this phase, will impact what awaits you on the other side. Put in the time now, for greater rewards later. Allow yourself room to cry, clear, and cleanse what needs releasing. Open up a hopeful space inside you for all that’s still to come. This New Moon is a time to be sweet and gentle with yourself. To find comfort in the ways you’ve been exposed and are now more vulnerable, and to take back the power that vulnerability, that authenticity presents.
Capricorn – Nine of Pentacles
There is so much to be grateful for, so much abundance surrounding you in this moment, and yet, your eyes and mind wander towards something new, something different. What’s stopping you from enjoying and appreciating the present moment? What’s preventing you from finding contentment in the here and now? You’ve put a lot of time and effort, love and care into a particular project (or several) and now is your chance to celebrate and honour that work. Now is your chance to bask in the fruits of your labour! Allow yourself time to savour the abundance you’ve created – even if that abundance isn’t tangible but felt only inside of you. Hard work doesn’t always guarantee results and rewards but this time it surely did, and that’s worthy of some reverence. Perhaps it’s just your go-getter Capricorn energy that’s pushing you towards the next project, but this current one deserves both celebration and closure before you can truly commit yourself to what’s next. Perhaps it may serve you to remind yourself of why you took on this current project in the first place. It clearly mattered to you and it brought some level of good fortune your way, so why not recognize that? Perhaps this Eclipse is inviting you to change the way you move from goal to goal; to allow yourself more space to bring something to a close before starting something fresh. Practice shifting your awareness and attention to the present moment.
Aquarius – Temperance
This New Moon highlights the area of your life that calls for rest and retreat, reflection and closure, and Temperance only serves to underline that calling. Perhaps there’s been some shifts, changes, and even losses in your recent past. If you haven’t already made the conscious decision to move forward and start fresh, this card is your gentle nudge towards doing so. Temperance brings the opportunity to rebalance, to find peace, to create new harmonies after a period of change. It’s a chance to reevaluate your past energies, check-in with those that are current, and set an intention for what energies you’d like to bring into your future. Temperance also asks that you consider the power of co-creation with the Universe itself. It can be somewhat daunting to acknowledge that we are just a small part of something so much greater than ourselves, but that realization also holds much power. When we allow ourselves to, we can work in concert with the Universe to create a world we maybe never thought possible. When we make the effort to live in a way that puts Soul before Ego, we open ourselves up to the endless possibilities of that large world outside of ourselves. No great action needs to be taken in this moment, but this is your chance to contemplate all of these ideas and see how they might fit within your life.
Pisces – Six of Swords
Upon first glance at this card, which figure drew you in immediately – the passenger or the guide? If you resonate with the first, the figure who sits in the boat, this New Moon may be encouraging you to reach out for community support. There may be something you’re going through that you can’t quite see the full picture of yet. You may understand in theory that this is a time of transition and that new opportunities are awaiting you, but for whatever reason you can’t see the way there. Reach out to someone you trust, someone you know will offer an unbiased view of the situation, and will know how to guide you forward. If the figure of the guide is where you found resonance, this may be your sign that someone is in need of your help. Maybe you know this person, maybe you don’t. On this New Moon, consider how you might make yourself available to those in need. What lessons have you learned in your recent past that may make you a valuable guide for someone else? Finally, perhaps there’s something about both figures that drew you in, and in that case, they may represent two sides of yourself. There’s a part of you that’s uncomfortable with the transition you’re undergoing, not ready to see the opportunities that await you. Then, there’s the part of you that’s willing to push through this, willing to caretake the uncomfortable side through this transitory phase. The passenger may represent your brain or Ego – fighting the transition, scared of the change it will bring – while the guide is your Soul – pushing you towards greater expansion and enlightenment. Allow your Soul to take the wheel.
I hope you found some resonance in these messages.

Don’t wait for it. Just let it happen.”
