The next Full Moon will be exact on the 12th of December at 12:12 AM (ET), and will take place at 19 degrees of Gemini.
First of all, whoa to the fact that (at least if you’re in the Eastern timezone) this Full Moon takes place on 12/12 at 12:12! That’s definitely a portal of some kind, especially since 12 is the end of a cycle and takes us into 13 – the number of the Witch!
No matter where you are in the world, this Full Moon in Gemini has the potential to bring a heightened clarity to any aspect of the mental realm – speaking, writing, mindfulness, thinking, beliefs, curiosity, research, etc. It may show you a path forward that wasn’t completely visible before. Sometimes, the Full Moon is a time to let go and perhaps this one is about releasing old beliefs and narratives; letting them stay in this decade so you can move into 2020 lighter and more focused.
Based on your Rising Sign and using the Whole Sign house system, here are the areas of life this Full Moon may illuminate:
Aries – (3rd) self-expression, communication, writing, teaching, social media/networking, curiosity, mindfulness
Taurus – (2nd) money, cash flow, income, personal values, self-worth, possessions

Pisces – (4th) home, family relationships, living arrangements, the past/family history, security, emotionality
Now, onto your Full Moon Tarotscopes!
For those of you unfamiliar, Tarotscopes are a lot like Horoscopes. However, with the exception of the Moon’s placement, I’m not using any planetary transits or aspects to divine your Sign’s messages. Instead, I base these words of guidance solely around the Tarot card I pull for each Zodiac sign.
Feel free to read for your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs…. Hell, you could even read for your North Node, Mercury, or Venus placements if you like. As always, my philosophy is to take what works and leave the rest.
Happy reading and Happy Full Moon!
Aries – Seven of Pentacles
You’ve been growing something – a project, business, hobby, deeper connection with soul, healthier eating patterns, etc. – something that will support you in both your current and future life. Whatever it may be, it has started to become sustainable and even self-sufficient. It’s something that can now continue to grow on its own without as much of your attention as it once needed. It’s not that the work is fully complete; don’t try to pull those cookies out of the oven before they’re fully baked! Your patience and dedication must remain strong. What this does mean, however, is you’re about to have the chance to shift your focus towards other efforts that need more of you. Before deciding what those efforts are, though, take some time to honour what you’ve accomplished already. Full Moons are a time of celebration and the Seven of Pentacles can be an invitation to show yourself gratitude in some way for all the hard work you’ve been doing. It’s not quite the same energy as in the 4 of Wands or the 3 of Cups, where we’re called to really let loose and turn it up. No, this is a quieter type of observance, one where self-reflection and self-appreciation take center stage, but that doesn’t make it any less important.
Taurus – Seven of Wands
Under this Full Moon, it may be the perfect time to ask yourself: “what am I defending and why?” Perhaps you’ve worked incredibly hard on something in particular, and feel the need to protect it in some way. Maybe you’ve been given some kind of external acknowledgement for a job well done and then here come the haters, ready to let you know you’re not that special after all. Or maybe someone is trying to take credit for the work you’ve done and you feel the very natural impulse to defend what’s yours. All of this is completely understandable; it’s only human nature to want to shield ourselves (and our work, beliefs, rights, etc.) and stand up for what we believe in. However, it can also be extremely taxing, taking physical, emotional, mental, and even spiritual tolls on our wellbeing. Just look at the figure in this card, they’re clearly tense and the fact they’re wearing two completely different shoes says a lot about their mindfulness in this current state. So, you may want to consider whether or not you can lower that wand and take a slight step back. Is there a way you can release this burden, even for a short period of time, so you can take a breath and reassess what’s truly important moving forward?
Gemini – Queen of Swords
This Full Moon will be a wonderful time to reflect, reassess, and strengthen your boundaries. Think back to who or what has been triggering you over the past 6 months – since the New Moon in Gemini – and determine what steps can be taken towards reducing and even eliminating those triggers. There may be relationships or projects you need to lessen your interactions with, or step away from entirely. Reflect on the areas of life where your mental energy is being drained, where you feel blocked and unable to take charge in the way you might normally do. Saying “no”, or “not now”, to people and things in life can be tough, especially when, to the outside world, those choices may seem selfish or cold. That simply isn’t the truth, though. You are allowed to do what’s right for you, no matter how that might make other people feel. It’s not about acting with malicious intent or cutting people off out of spite, it’s quite the opposite in fact. This is an act of love for both you and whoever/whatever is on the other end of the issue. You cannot be your best self, the truest version of who you need to be in this world, if you’re constantly letting your energies be taken advantage of. Channel this Queen’s no BS attitude to help you through.
Cancer – Five of Swords
Okay, so maybe you did something you’re not exactly proud of. Maybe you took things a little too far with something or someone; pushed a situation or person to their limits until that proverbial line was crossed. You really thought it was the best course of action in the moment, but now the lingering memory of it all is laced with regret. You won, or you at least felt somewhat vindicated, but at what cost? The thing is, we all know to err is human, right? Many of us find it easy to take that perspective when someone else makes a mistake. We might even say something to the effect of: “don’t be so hard on yourself.” So where’s that same compassion for ourselves? This card is inviting you to dig deep and find it. Cause here’s another thing, if you are feeling that regret and want to do better in the future, that’s already one step towards fixing this mess. We all step outside our paths from time to time but we can always course-correct. Taking responsibility for your actions, words, decisions, etc. will be the next best step. Repair the external relationships and situations as best you can, and then re-center your focus on how you can move forward in greater alignment.
Leo – Three of Swords
There’s no reason to sugarcoat it, the Three of Swords speaks to a challenging and possibly depressing time in one’s life. Perhaps you were recently disappointed by someone or something important to you. Maybe you were spoken to in a cruel way. Or it could be that you’re just experiencing a general sense of overwhelm. No matter what it is, it sucks and I’m truly sorry for whatever grief you’re going through. However, this card goes much deeper than simply depicting what you already know about the shitty way you’re feeling. Its underlying message, the invitation at its core, is to remember that you control the way you feel. When your heart is hurt, you can let it fester, or you can tend to that wound. Though there are cards in the Tarot I believe welcome us into a space of feeling our pain, of allowing ourselves room to mourn, this isn’t one of them. This card is about taking the necessary steps to remove the swords from our hearts. It hands us our power back when we feel as though we’ve lost it and are at the mercy of the external world. Use this Full Moon to let go of the past and initiate a healing process that can lead you towards a brighter future.
Virgo – Knight of Swords
This Full Moon is not a time for slowing down. There’s something you need to take, or keep taking action on during this time, but the Knight is here to say you’ll be supported in doing so. This Knight brings you the energy to keep your head down and power through; to focus your eyes on the prize and do what it takes to reach your goals. This energy can feel a little hectic at times but it’s usually accompanied by an undeniable sense of purpose. There’s a knowing that this is in alignment with the bigger picture of your path overall, and an inherent promise that the hustle of this journey will absolutely be worth the accomplishment to be found at its destination. Keep in mind that moving at this heightened pace doesn’t have to come at the sacrifice of your physical and emotional wellbeing. We don’t need to harm ourselves in this process. And because this is a Knight, with a King and Queen still to follow, this fast-moving journey won’t last forever. This energy can be channelled for very specific sets of circumstances, and when they’re over, they’re over. This Knight can take you very far in a short amount of time, so embrace the quick pace and move like the wind!
Libra – Six of Wands
First of all, congrats! Something has obviously been going well for you as of late, and you deserve all the recognition and credit that’s coming your way! Doesn’t it feel fabulous to be on top of your game? It’s so inspiring when you take a hope, a dream, and turn it into a reality through such hard work and dedication. Reaping the rewards becomes almost second best to knowing that you can accomplish something when you set your mind to it. Use this Full Moon as a time to celebrate these wins and gains. Allow yourself a moment (or several) in the spotlight, to bask in the warmth of this feeling while you can. Because that’s the thing, this won’t last forever. Just like the bad times come and go, so do the good times, and it’s important to keep a level perspective on that natural ebb and flow. This isn’t to say you should downplay your achievements – nope, no way! It’s just a reminder to not get too high on that horse during this flow so that you’re not caught completely falling from grace during that next inevitable ebb. Don’t refuse external validation, but remember that you’ll always be there to provide your own internal validation when the time comes.
Scorpio – Five of Cups
The mood around this particular Full Moon may not be the most joyous. Whether you’re going through a period of actual loss or grieving, or you’re just feeling down in the dumps, this kind of energy never makes for smooth sailing, and I’m so sorry you’re going through it. Without trying to romanticize the idea of sadness, it is part of life and usually, it’s the kind of experience that helps us grow as humans. I don’t think we’d truly feel the highs of happiness and hope if we’d never felt the lows of pain and sorrow. So often we try to bypass the tough stuff, either because we’re so conditioned to “be strong” or because we’re unwilling to deal with the rougher side of emotions. Ignoring sadness doesn’t do us any favours, though, it doesn’t make it magically disappear. Instead, it just sinks deeper within us, rotting away at our very Soul. The Five of Cups invites you to deal with this pain in a healthier way. To allow yourself the space to feel the loss of those three knocked over cups. There will come a time when you’re ready to turn around and notice the two full cups you still have, but right now is not that time. Hang in there, you got this.
Sagittarius – Temperance
Following the Death card, Temperance brings energies of rebirth, renewal, and regeneration – this Full Moon could be a pretty darn important one for you, Sag! You’ve said goodbye to an old way of being, you’ve released old narratives about your life, and in doing so, you’ve created a ton of space for something else to come in. This is your chance to reintegrate and rebalance your very being. What’s already inside of you that’s ready to take up more space? What might you need to seek externally to come join the party? While making these decisions, it’s essential you stay in touch with both the emotional and physical sides of yourself. Just as Temperance finds her best balance through having one foot in water (intuition and emotions) and one foot on land (our physical bodies and Soul) your path to alignment can be found in the same manner. Every time Temperance graces us with her presence, we can be sure we’ve taken steps to live a little more Soul first, rather than Ego first. We’ve achieved a greater harmony within ourselves. This period of rebalancing is necessary before fully diving ahead though, and it’s best not to rush the energy of Temperance. Use this as a time to call in your Guides and Spirit, open your Third Eye, and just allow everything to come together as it may.
Capricorn – Ace of Cups
Your creative, emotional, and intuitive energies may all be especially heightened during this Full Moon. It could feel as though a tap has been turned on inside of you and was then left to overflow. The abundance of these energies may wax and wane between making you feel incredibly excited and entirely overwhelmed. There’s so much potential bursting forth from the Ace of Cups, so much promise of new beginnings and opportunities. Your goal is to figure out how to bring a discerning focus to all of them, so you can properly take advantage of what’s on offer without letting it all float by. Use the influence of Mercury – the planet that rules this particular Full Moon – to get your ideas and feelings down on paper. If journaling isn’t already a regular activity for you, this would be a great time to start. If you’re are into journaling, maybe this is the time to start a new kind of daily diary to double-down on the Ace’s fresh start mentality. Pay close attention to your emotions on the days leading up to and following the Full Moon as well, let your gut feelings guide you for the time being. Write down your dreams to see if you can glean any information on what opportunities this Ace is bringing your way.
Aquarius – The Hanged Man
Life may feel as though it’s a little on hold, during and around this coming Full Moon. You’re being called to pause, to wait for any clarity and insight necessary before moving forward. This in-between state, this temporary suspension of time, is much easier to talk about than to experience. Surrendering to this type of stillness is difficult for many of us. Especially within our capitalist, Go-Go-Go culture, where we constantly feel the pressure to accomplish more and more each day. To resist this particular surrender, though, often leads to an increased sense of uncertainty. And whenever we allow self-doubt to creep in, we tend towards making choices and taking actions that aren’t in alignment with our path of highest and best. So, use this Full Moon as an opportunity to shift your perspective on the current situation; try your best to look at what’s happening through fresh eyes. What once felt like a tedious waiting game, has the potential to become a beautiful gift of silence, space, and, ultimately, enlightenment. The Hanged Man’s number is 12 – a portal, a gateway, as I mentioned above – and the way our lives can shift after we live through this card’s energies, can be truly profound. As long as we are willing to do the work it invites us into.
Pisces – The Empress This Full Moon is bringing you the opportunity to receive. Whether it’s a gift from the Universe or from someone in your life, abundance is about to flow your way. It could be a creative download for a project you’re working on. Or maybe it’s a boost of energy to put the finishing touches on an offering that’s ready to be birthed. Perhaps someone you love wants to treat you to a meal, a massage, or something even fancier. It could be as simple as someone wishing to pay you a compliment you aren’t used to getting. No matter what shape these gifts wind up taking, the invitation from The Empress is to make sure you are open to receiving them. She’s here to remind you that you are worthy of this abundance. The Empress also symbolizes a deep connection with nature, and you may want to take some time to be outside underneath this Full Moon if the weather in your neck of the woods is amenable. When we’re able to ground ourselves into the Earth, when we can sink our feet into its roots and feel mud between our toes, it helps to remind us that we are part of the Earth itself. That we’re meant to part of the natural exchange of energy, and that being open to receiving is simply an extension of that.
I hope you found some resonance in these messages.
As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts, so please feel free to reach out and let me know how you’re celebrating this final Full Moon of the decade!
I’ll be back in two weeks with your Capricorn New Moon + Solar Eclipse Tarotscopes but until then,
Happy Gemini Full Moon!
